India General Elections 2024: The sixth round of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is now open for voting. Today there will be polling in 58 constituencies spread over 8 states and Union Territories (UTs).
India General Election 2024: Voting in 58 constituencies across six states, two union territories, and all seven seats in Delhi will take place today for the sixth round of the Lok Sabha polls.
In addition to the voting on all seven Delhi seats, voters also cast ballots in 14 Uttar Pradesh constituencies, 10 Haryana seats, 8 seats each in Bihar and West Bengal, 6 seats in Odisha, 4 seats in Jharkhand, and 1 seat in Jammu and Kashmir.
The national capital New Delhi, the North-East and North-West Delhi regions, Sultanpur and Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, Anantnag-Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir, Tamluk and Medinipur in West Bengal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Gurgaon, Rohtak, and Puri and Sambalpur in Odisha are important seats in this phase.
Today is the polling day in the Jammu and Kashmir seat of Anantnag-Rajouri, which was originally scheduled for May 7. Voting in the constituency was postponed by the EC due to adverse weather conditions.
There will be 42 Odisha assembly constituencies taking part in the state’s third and final voting phase.

India General Elections 2024 Commission reports that 889 candidates will compete in 58 constituencies, representing eight States and Union Territories (UTs). The hours for voting are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
About 8.93 lakh voters who are 85 years of age or older, 23,659 voters who are 100 years of age or older, and 9.58 lakh PwD voters for Phase 6 who can cast their ballots in the comfort of their own homes are eligible to vote, according to the EC.
