Although OnePlus phones have been resolving the issue behind the scenes, the company officially spoke about it earlier this week and gave its dealers in the nation assurances that the issues will be resolved. “Over the past seven years, OnePlus has appreciated all of the support it has gotten from our reliable retail partners.
The problem OnePlus India is facing is that some shops are willing to remove their phones from the shelf in exchange for certain concessions. What OnePlus has to say is as follows.
Several mobile retail chains have declared that they will no longer be selling OnePlus smartphones as of May 1st, citing unresolved difficulties with the brand. OnePlus, a company well-known for its premium devices and devoted following of users, is devastated by this decision. India is one of the brand’s main markets, so losing there will be detrimental to the company. Counterpoint recently pointed out that OnePlus expanded by 33% year over year in 2023, with offline expansion being one of the main drivers of that growth. The business told India Today that it is collaborating with its partners to find solutions to the problems related to retail chains.

“OnePlus values all the support it has received from our trusted retail partners in the last 7 years. At present, we are working with our partners to address the areas highlighted, ensuring our continued commitment to a strong and prosperous relationship going forward,” a OnePlus Spokesperson told India Today.
The move by mobile retail chains is a result of ongoing disputes and grievances that remain unresolved between the retailers and OnePlus, Money Control reported. Despite efforts to address these issues, the parties involved have failed to reach a satisfactory resolution, prompting the drastic measure of halting sales.
“Throughout the past year, we have encountered significant obstacles associated with selling OnePlus products, which remain unresolved. As esteemed partners, we had hoped for a more fruitful collaboration with OnePlus. Regrettably, the ongoing issues have left us with no alternative but to discontinue the sale of your products in our stores,” Sridhar TS, president of South Indian Organised Retailers Association (ORA), said in its April 10 letter to OnePlus India’s director of sales, Ranjeet Singh.

One of the primary concerns cited by the retail chains is the lack of timely support and assistance from OnePlus in addressing customer complaints and service-related issues. This has led to dissatisfaction among retailers and customers alike, impacting the overall sales and reputation of OnePlus devices in the market.
