GSEB 10th result 2024: According to the Chairman of GSEB, good results this year “will lead to students going to their skill-based avenues, gross enrolment rate going up, and dropout ratio going down gradually.”
10th Result 2024 Gujarat Board Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) declared the results for Class 10 today, May 11 at gseb.org SSC Result.
This year, the overall pass percentage registered was 82.56% is significantly higher than the previous year’s where it stood at 64.62%. It surpassed the records of the last ten years even the record set in 2011which was 71.06% and 70.65% in 2007. Celebrations were in full swing after the Gujarat board declared the SSC result 10TH.

Gujarat Education Minister Kuber Dindor took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate the students. The post read, “ Congratulations to all the students who have cleared the Class-10 exam announced by the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, and best wishes for a bright future.”
“Gandhinagar district has recorded the best results, followed by Surat, Mehsana, and Banaskantha. Porbandar district recorded the lowest pass percentage.” ANI quoted the chairman of GSEB, Banchhanidhi Pani as saying.
Girls outperformed boys this year with a pass percentage of 86.69% while that of boys stood at 79.12%. Commenting on the dropout ratio he said, “I think these are very good results. This will lead to dropout ratio going down gradually, gross enrolment rate will go up and students will go to their skill-based avenues.”
GSEB SSLC 2024 Result to be Declared Today
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) is set to announce the results of the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) exams for Class 10th today. This marks a significant day for tens of thousands of students across Gujarat who have been eagerly waiting to find out their performance in these pivotal examinations. The announcement will bring an end to the anticipation and open new doors for the students as they plan their next steps in education.
Gandhinagar outperformed all districts in the state by registering the highest pass percentage, 87.22%. Surat district trailed close behind with an 86.75% pass percentage. Porbandar recorded the lowest pass percentage 74.57%.

Grading System Explained
The grading system for the Board Examination and School-based Examination has been structured as follows:
- A1: 91-100 marks
- A2: 81-90 marks
- B1: 71-80 marks
- B2: 61-70 marks
- C1: 51-60 marks
- C2: 41-50 marks
- D: 33-40 marks
- E1: 21-32 marks
- E2: 20 marks and below
To pass a subject, students must achieve at least a grade of ‘D’. For eligibility to receive the Secondary Certificate, candidates must secure a minimum grade of ‘D’ in all subjects. Students who receive grades ‘E1’ or ‘E2’ in the external examinations must improve their scores in subsequent attempts to qualify. The passing standard for differently-abled candidates is set at 20%.
