The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce the CBSE Result 2024 after May 20. Meanwhile, a fake circular that has been disseminating misleading information on social media has emerged in the excitement surrounding the CBSE result day. The board’s public relations officer (PRO) denied the claims, claiming that the findings will not be made public on May 1 between 1 and 3 p.m., as the alleged fake circular said.

Approximately 39 lakh candidates registered for the CBSE Board exams in 2024, covering both Class 10 and 12.

Last year, the CBSE Board Result 2024 was declared on May 12, and this year’s results are expected to follow a similar pattern. In 2023, out of the 2,184,117 students who registered for the exams, 2,165,805 students took the exam. Among them, 2,016,779 students successfully passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 93.12 percent. Comparatively, in 2022, 107,689 students, constituting 5.14% of the total examinees, were placed in the compartment exam. However, this number increased in 2023, with a total of 134,774 students, accounting for 6.22 percent of the examinees, being placed in compartments.

To check their results, students should follow these steps:

  • Visit the official CBSE website.
  • Click on the link for CBSE Board Result 2024.
  • Log in using their roll number or registration number.
  • Submit the required details.
  • The CBSE Class 10 or Class 12 results will then be displayed on the screen.
  • Download and print the result for future reference.

Students must receive a minimum passing score of 33% in each subject and overall to meet the minimum passing percentage requirements for CBSE boards. In an effort to prevent unhealthy competition among pupils, CBSE has decided not to publish any merit lists.
