Varanasi Election Results 2024: PM Narendra Modi is running for office again from Varanasi, where he was elected in 2014 and 2019. Opposing him is Ajay Rai of the Congress Party, which has teamed up with the Samajwadi Party (SP) run by Akhilesh Yadav.
Presently, at 11:50 am, the PM has more than 40,000 more votes than the runner-up.

PM Modi got 6.74 lakh votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. In second place, 1.95 lakh votes went to Shalini Yadav of the Samajwadi Party. In third place, 1.52 lakh votes went to Ajay Rai of the Congress Party. In 2014, Modi beat Arvind Kejriwal of the AAP and Ajay Rai of the Congress by 5.81 lakh votes.
If you look back, the BJP has kept the seat in Varanasi every year since 1991, with the only break being from 2004 to 2009. This Lok Sabha seat has five assembly seats: Sevapuri, Rohaniya, Varanasi North, and Varanasi South. The BJP controls four of these five seats.
